Hi, I've wanted my mini to sound like a raspy rally mini for a while now and I've looked into exhausts and can't figure out which one will make this sound, I want it to sound like this mini in this video

http://m.youtube.com...h?v=eajmkcI4GYc

It says it's a maniflow but which one? And what manifold? I'm thinking of getting a maniflow 2 LCB high flow but not sure about the rest of the system, thanks for reading :)

Ps I've posted this in the wrong section (i think) before I posted it here so I apologise for this

Rally Minis are quite quiet to meet the noise regulations. The exhaust most of us use is the 1.75" diameter Maniflow twin-box centre exit system with the single up-swept tail pipe. That meets the regulations, is well-engineered, fits beautifully and does not reduce the power output. It is normally used with an LCB exhaust manifold, although the 1990-1 1275 Cooper exhaust manifold can be used with the correct mating fittings.

That's mine :)

Minisport LCB

Maniflow 1.75 exhaust system, I think at this time it had just the single box setup.

RC40s sound nice and raspy, but if you want real quality, get a Maniflow.

The above system is what I have to use on my project, I hope it sounds as nice!

I think how its mounted can make a difference too. I welded a small plate too the tailpipe and use two cotton real mounts, and similar again at the leading edge of the subframe. Then the standard type bracket to hold the LCB to the gearbox.

It did sound a little different when it was on hangers.

+2 for the Maniflow. Make sure you get a single box though as you want the neighbours to hear you. I'm also running a de-cat.

+1 on the single box. In my opinion, you need a bit of loudness and for me, a twin box is too quiet.

All though it does take a tiny bit of horsepower.

I used a 2" singlebox system of unknown make along with a LCB on a 998 years ago. It used to set off car alarms in multistory car parks

Thanks for the replies :) you've got a nice mini mini-mad. I've currently got a twin center exit big bore exhaust, it vibrates my neighbours windows and my other neighbour complained at my the other day, sounds nice but can't really drive on motorways haha
