So I've been enjoying the forum, I particularly like 101 things to know about your mini, an important one was all the bits go back in the engine bay, so saying That, what is this piece?

Silly question I know.

It's a rubber washer about 25mm (1") in diameter with a 6mm hole with a sleeve in it. Recently I took the end clutch housing apart to check the clutch release bearing and was wondering if it's a seal from the slave cylinder rod but it all looks ok and the haynes manual doesn't mention it specifically but I know it's not an idiot proof guide (unlucky for me).

Edit: I can't upload the photo for some reason? It's a rubber washer about 25mm (1") in diameter with a 6mm hole with a sleeve in it. speedo cable is the one that goes through the bulkhead (rear of engine bay if I'm not mistaken) into the back of the speedo/clock setup..
