
Fitting a stereo

hello evryone, now that i have passed my father has kndly said hed get me a cd player, see link: Pioneer head unit.
how do you fit it? is it dead simple? i dont want to blow a fuse or anything like that. Or blow the stereo itself up.

Just buy an ISO plug to fit inside the car which the headunit will clip straight into.
Then its just a case of routing the wires for ignition, constant and earth through the bulkhead are wire to the specific places.
Then look at which speaker wires go where and connect em all up
simple if you think about it logically

How old is your car because all mk5s have got ISO's already

No it wont have an ISO plug if its a 90s mini, mine doesnt
There very simply to fit and you can buy em from any motors shop ie halfords! All you will have to do is following instructions and connect the orginal wires to the ISO plug.
However you DONT have to have a ISO plug, you can just use a connector block which costs like 80p.

to be honist spend the extra n get the ISO plug instead of basic connectors, means you can upgrade ur headunit very quickly and easily with virtually no hassle

Dom when you get it come and visit me and I'll take you through it. It's easy. Plus there is a I.C.E shop opposite my house in-case you do need an ISO.
