With winter coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to look into an outdoor cover for my Mini, and found the best ones to be the Stormforce, Monsoon or Voyager covers.

I've done quite a few group buys before on a new MINI forum that I'm a member of, so thought it might be worthwhile doing one for these too, as it makes it cheaper for myself as well as anyone else who wants one!

I've managed to work out a deal, to get up to 18% off the RRP, plus free shipping (usually £8.95)!

They will happily apply this discount to any cover, so if you are after one for any other car, please post up and I'll dig out the prices.

If you find the prices cheaper any where else, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

If you are a TMF+ member, I can also apply a further 7.5% discount to certain covers.

All the covers include mirror pockets to ensure a nice snug fit, and detachable underbody straps (with soft, non-scratch covers on the fasteners) to stop the cover from blowing off.

To give you more info on the cover types;

The Stormforce car covers are made up of four layers, composed of a strong, hard wearing outer layer, padded layer, one way water resistant membrane, and a soft, protective inner layer. They are best suited for long term outdoor storage. They will allow damp/moisture to escape, protect from rain, dust, tree sap, UV paint fade and unwanted attention. In hot climates, these covers will help to keep the car interior cool, if exposed to direct sunlight. Two years warranty.

The Monsoon car covers are dual layer, composed of a waterproof, weather resistant, outer layer, and a soft, protective inner layer. They are best suited for long term outdoor storage. They have vented flaps fitted to help damp and moisture to escape.It will protect from rain, dust, tree sap, UV paint fade and unwanted attention. In hot climates, these covers will help to keep the car interior cool, if exposed to direct sunlight. The Monsoon covers are winter car covers for use in temperatures below 70f / 21c. If you require a year round cover, we suggest that Stormforce will be a better option. Two years warranty.

The Voyager car covers are lightweight, and ideal for use on regularly driven vehicles inside or outdoors. They will allow damp/moisture to escape, protect from rain, dust, tree sap, UV paint fade and unwanted attention. In hot climates, these covers will help to keep the car interior cool, if exposed to direct sunlight. One year warranty.

The Sahara car covers are designed for use on garaged vehicles - not designed as waterproof covers. They will allow damp/moisture to escape, protect from dust and UV paint fade, light scrapes/scratches and unwanted attention. In hot climates, these covers help to keep the car interior cool, if exposed to direct sunlight. One year warranty.

The Kalahari car covers are a stretch variety & the fit is skin tight, accentuating the curves and lines of your car when fitted. We manufacture these covers utilizing a soft fleece lined fabric that is similar in appearance to fleece lined sportswear products. Kalahari covers are usually produced to order so delivery time is 2-3 weeks from order placement.

If you would like to take part in this group buy, please show your interest below, and I will send you further details on how to order your cover.

PS I've checked with the admin of TMF, and they are fine with me running this group buy.

I need a minimum order of 10 covers, to be able to apply these discounts, however I posted this on a number of Mini forums, so hopefully it won't be too difficult to hit;

I'll take a look at the pricing, to see what can be done.  I'm guessing that has postage on top?

less your TMF+ 7.5% discount.

Makes the £5 TMF annual fee an absolute no brainer!

In fairness, unless you can get to minispares you would have to pay P&P.

I've updated the original post with the new prices - got my wires crossed, and didn't remove the P&P before applying the 18% discount.  I can also add a further 7.5% discount for TMF+ members on certain covers.

If you know of anyone else on other forums who would like a cover, please let them know, and I will be happy to get a price for them for any car.

Hi OJM,

Could you please get a price for a Stormforce cover to fit both a VW Beetle and Bay Camper?  I bought mine from MiniSpares so the mini is sorted for the winter but the hubby would like to get his VWs under cover too!

Cheers

Em x

What year is the Beetle and Bay Camper?

I've got the following listed;

Beetle - Classic Models - to '75

Beetle & Super Beetle - '75 on

Type 2 Camper / Bus - '50 on (Camper)

Type 3, 1500/1600 - '67-'73 (Saloon/Fastback)

Type 3 Variant - '61-'73 (Estate)

Type 4 411, 412 - '67-'74 (Saloon)

Type 4 411, 412 Variant - '68-'74 (Estate)

If it's none of those, take a look at the list here, let me know the model, and I'll find out a price for you :) - http://www.cover-zon.../price_list.php

Hi OJM,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Its a 1968 beetle and a 1972 Type 2 (bay window) camper, so the Beetle - Classic Models - to '75 and the Type 2 Camper / Bus - '50 on (Camper) should be fine.

Cheers

Em x
