Just wondering, me and 7mates have all recently got miis and wondering is it possible to install a radio system into the cars which can chat to eachova on? I believe a 2way radio would work but can you have more than 2 people on it? Any help about what i would need and any links would be a great help thanks people

You can get proper CB receiver/transmitters with a big aerial, or just get those CB radios from Argos or the like, either can have more than 2 people on.

Bear in mind that whilst an installed CB radio is fully road legal, using a hand held 2 way radio is just as ilegal as using a mobile phone.

Don't you need licenses and things for radios over a certain range too? better check with which one you're thinking of.

As long as the radio is in Simplex Mode it is legal to use whilst driving (simplex meaning that you can only transmit or receive at any one time thus not have a proper converstion as such) If however, using the radio causes your driving to become careless or dangerous then you can be prosecuted for that offence.
Bearing in mind that if a copper chooses, he can do you for eating a sandwitch whilst driving if he's in the mood, i wouldn't take the risk!

We use the small FRS-family radio system. They are good for about 7 miles. Works great for travelling or taking the kids shopping in the big shopping malls!!

1,000's available on Ebay.
Unless they are not allowed in the UK?
