How should I prepare my new rear subframe? ie paint or alternatives? Apologies if there is already a thread on this

powder coatings a good option if its new..

I don't like powder coating. It always seems to flake off.

My rear is galvanised and has a very thick coat of POR15, probably the best paint for subframes.

IIRC, it does 16 sq. ft. So I should imagine yes.

Once the frame is painted, wax oil around everything and use copper grease when inserting the bolts so they don't seize up.
