Finally got round to fitting front floor pan, flitch panel, A post, inner sill and door step today.

Just a question though on what type of weld is best along the top of the inner sill and door step, where the door seal sits?
Was tempted to drill out and lug weld, but that would let water in, but a weld all the along the top just doesn't seem right, the same goes with the outer sill lip and door step..

Suggestions please, also what is the best coating now on the floor pan/ sill/flitch.. I have a can is Schultz, but not sure what finish that gives, is this best just for the outside panels.

Drill through one panel 1/4" holes and fill with weld with good power on the mig. Schultz is for underside only! 3m schultz is the best of its kind.

I use a spot welder; its much quicker than drilling holes, plug weld and grinding.

I tend to seam weld, for me its a quicker way of doing it.  I seam the sill to door step and the inner sill.  For neatness I plug weld the lower edge of the sill.

Looking at getting some extra arms in the near future to get in the less accessible areas. I'll see how i get on with it.
