I'm stuck on which would be best to use. I'm buying a set of 12 x 6 Minilite deep dish rims with an ET -7, as well as Sportspack arches.

I want to adjust the ride height so the arches fit my 12s snug and look nice, but I don't want to lose out on comfort too.

So what's best? I've been told coil-overs have a far smoother ride than the cones, but all I hear on the forums and from the community is Hi Lo this and that.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks!

I think it is worth taking into consideration that if you want to fit rear coilovers you will have to modify your rear turrets.

It is possible to get offset rear coilovers that will bolt straight into your car with no need to modify your rear turrets but after speaking to a few people who have used these (all be it in competition use) have made comments to me that they are not the best of things to work with in respect of setting up. How ever if anyone feels this is not accurate I would love to hear why, mainly because I have been tempted by them in the past.

I run adjustable Hi-Los in my "67 with Spax dampers which allow me to adjust the dampening as I want. They are fantastic in every way as far as I am concerned, handle very well, are not to hard, I can adjust them quite easily and there is a fair amount of movement in them (in respect of lowering and raising the car). Cost wise I think they are far more affordable in comparison to the Coilovers.

I can understand why you would be tempted by coilovers, I have been tempted by them myself but for now, my Hi-Los and dampers do the job perfectly.
