Evenin TMF

well, spent the day putting the modded binnacle back in and making the templates for the dash trays and liners on Hatty today (speedo still not working though...) and as ever when im tinkering my mind starts to wander... and today I got thinking about lighting up the dash.

Im sure its all been done before but ive not come across it persoally. im thinking along the lines of a modern car where you get ambient lighting and illuminated switches and switch panels etc when the car starts or the lights are turned on.

Has anyone seen this on a mini?  just wondered if anyone knew of replacement swithes that are back lit etc rather than just lit up when In the on position like the break test and rear screen heater.

I also thought the chrome trim around the switch panel would look good with a low glow when its dark, not a full on neon LED glow just something that outlines the switch panel when its dark but retains the chromed looked in the daylight.

Whats your thoughts?

Ryan

Minispares do a kit, this lights up all the LEDs in your existing switches dimly, then when you switch them on, the LED lights up fully.
