Good Evening guys!
My name is Robert, I'm 24 & I've always loved Minis for many years ever since I had the Corgi Rover Italian Job Minis from Christmas about 20 or so years ago.
As I said I did own one. Many years ago when I was about 7 or 8, my dad found an old, quite rotten white Austin Mini City (think it was a B reg one) on a field somewhere in Dorset & decided to save it from being left to rot. so some cash & a new V5 later, the Mini was ours & I was surprised when dad turned up back home with my own Mini, a car that was to be a father/son project & we had grand plans for it. Sadly it was not to be & a year after we got it, we sold it to a Ministock racer & I've regretted letting it go ever since.
Thankfully my love of the original Mini has never dampened once. Even when production stopped, the New MINI was on sale & when one drove into the back of the Land Rover we had at the time....
It was only in the last 5 years or so that I've truly loved them again & have attended quite a few local Mini shows & the annual Mini Cooper Register rallies at Beaulieu which I always look forward to every year (along with a few supercar shows at Beaulieu & Wilton House & the Goodwood festival of speed) & this year I decided to become a member of their club after enjoying this years event so much & deciding that I had to join a Mini club sooner or later. (I'm also a member of the Jaguar Enthusiasts club due to my love of them too even though I don't have one of them either......)
But despite my love for them, I've never got round to owning another & I'm still thinking weather to get a good one or one that needs quite a bit of work like the last one or even to another one at all?
