not for the actual window before someone comes up with a smarta$$ answer!
Just under the window where the water sits and rusts though the 3/4 panel nicely. Is there a seperate small piece available at all? even pattern parts would be fine. I don't fancy recreating the return at the front.....
Can't see one on m-machine, minispares or in the moss book....... :'(

The rear window doesn’t rust
sorry now back to the question:
I have found a repair panel for that area in a minisport catologue, but its for the hole back end (well over 200notes) and all the other panels stop just shy of that area,
As i'm guessing its the corners of the rear pillars that have gone?
looks like you might have to cut some bits out of scrapper.

yeah, I was trying to avoid buying two whole panels just for a 3" wide strip! It is just the bit under the window, but also just as it rises into the B-pillar, so it gets a bit complicated for making my own. I may be tempted to give it a go as I suspect quite a few scrappers have probably gone in that area.
damn.
damn.

Don't know if the radius of the corners matches up but have you thought of using part of a door step repair with the ends on it - I've got both ends of one at home - I'll have a check to see if its suitable.
EDIT - didn't see the post above - I may be confused as to which bit has gone??? Sounds like a bit more is missing than I thought.

If you get really stuck though I might be able to go down my local mini scrap yard for a look
Most of the minis down there are insurance right offs witch can be repaired, but all of them (about 20) are all in fairly good nick.

If it works let me know I've got the two ends that I can stick in a jiffy bag for you (thats if yours isn't going spare)

That is quite scary! I suppose these designers don't like doing extra work if they can get away with it though..... (I should know!)
the radius upto the b-pillar is the same. The step is a bit deeper than the window "ledge" and the radius going down to the 3/4 panel is a little larger, but nothing that can't be fettled easily!
Good to know for those in the same boat!
Oh, and steamo, you'll have a PM in a minute!
cheers guys!
