Just noticed a small hole in the bottom of my ignition coil caused by the heater cable rubbing against it!

Should be easy to plug the hole but has anyone ever refilled one? There is probably still 2/3rds of the oil in judging from the sound when shaking it....!

Ta very much!

Mini is 1992 Spi

+1 I wouldn't even bother thinking of refilling. Not sure what oil you would use anyway.

Replace - it'll let you down late one dark night in the pouring rain on the way home with a hot date in the passenger seat.

Surely that the best time to be broken down in the middle of nowhere? ;-)

I had in mind a nice cup of hot chocolate and fine conversation at the intended destination, what were you thinking of?

Hmmm! Thats decided then, a new un it is.

Mini spares offer a Unipart one for the Spi mini and it is nearly 40 quid. Not so cheap when my shopping list is already pretty long!  Does it have to be this one or does any one do? All the others are under 20 quid!

PS: Does the missus and 2 kids count as a hot date? If not that aint gonna happen anyway...
