Not as bad as you would think.
The VERY short shorty's can be a touch nose heavy under the hardest braking.

i think if it doesnt say anything on the logbook about it being shortened then someone has just carried out the chop and started driving it.
i dont know how the law stands on things like that, but i think really it needs an IVA, surely?

fails the DVLA 8 points system and should of been tested and on a Q plate
are the insurance company aware that this car is not correctly registered and tested ?

Any time post 1984 and it should be on a Q unless it was a new build.
If its on the V5 as a mini and not on a Q then its not a new build and its not correctly registered. Basically it currently isnt legal in the UK. TAX/MOT is not a measure of legality with a radically altered vehicle.
