Northampton Lamport Steam Rally and country festival

Sunday May 28/Bank Holiday Monday May 29
10.00am to 5.00pm

Lamport Hall is ideally situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, only a short drive from the motorway network and A14, just off the A508
Lamport Hall was the home of the Isham family from 1560 to 1976 and is one of the finest examples of Grade I Listed Houses.

Exhibits include
Steamers, including a rare steam driven galloper roundabout, vintage vehicles, stationery engines, working arena, country craft displays and demonstrations, heavy horses, dog display team, main ring events, gift and craft and trade stand sections, amusements and something to interest the whole family for a day out.

Admission:
Adults £5.50, seniors £4.50,children under 11 free, children 11-16 £3.00, family ticket (2 adults + 2 children (11-16) £15.

Tickets are for admission to the Hall (including the tea room in the Victorian Dining Room) and the gardens.

Now your probably asking what has this got to do with minis, well Northantsmoc.net will be attending on both days showing off our minis (myself included on just the Sunday)

Should be a nice day out (weather permitting) I’ve never been to this one but have been to a few other steam rallies.

Best bit for me though it's costing me absolutely nothing, as the club has been invited to attend on both days and over night camping / disco

Just a shame I have plans for the Monday.

Was a really good show considering the heavy rain over the past few days, but it did start to dry up in places.

Found some small parts I can use on my mini in the from one of the junk trade stalls, plus I’m now well stocked on all metric and imperial bolts, nut and washers, but what’s the chances when I need them though they will be no were to be seen. :-

I was planning on going down for the Monday as well but unfortunately my mini has sprung a huge oil leak, so I’ll be fixing that instead. :'(

Didn’t quite expect it to be that warm either B) even though I spent most of the day in the shade, I’ve still managed to end up looking like a lobster (sunburn).

All in all though a very enjoyable day out.
