Ok got it fitted today but don't think its right?

Was expecting the plastic end to be in two pieces and clamp onto the carb as such?

As said its working fine just don't think its correct

Ok still not sussed how to get big pictures up on here so hope you can see it from this?

 

If you see the white plastic piece i thought this should be in two pieces and then un screw and clamp on but if it does then takes a better man than me to split it.

 

As i said before its working ok just not how i think it should be?

Doesn't look right to me.  I think you have a HIF cable, on a HS carb.  The HIF carb should have a bracket to which the white plastic slots in.  If you do have a HS carb, the correct cable just ends in a metal ferrule.

It is an HIF carb, but the cable is coming in from a different direction to the standard Mini arrangement. A Mini would have it approaching from the top. Your picture (upside down?) appears to be from the bottom.
