I've been rebuilding an a- gearbox, one of the teeth on the laygear (seemingly un-numbered) was damaged and so I took a spare marked as 12g927 and fitted it.

I've read that the standard thrust washers are the thinnest, yet with two different sets I'm unable to insert a 0.0015" feeler gauge, and gauging how tight the laygear is I would say there is no clearance at all.

Any ideals why I would have no clearance at all?

Cheers
