1970 Mini 1000 Is It Worth Restoring

Recently bought my 4th project mini a 1970 mini 1000 and as usual it's going to need a bit more work than I expected.
The shell is exceptionally solid I'm very surprised being 43 years old! There is only 1 bit of rust on the entire shell! Now this could be down to the 8 layers of paint there was on it (no joke!) I think it's been every colour under the sun.
The problem lies everywhere else..it's going to need a full rebuild which I'm happy to do but I was planning on selling the car after and I don't know if it'll be worth the money I'm going to have to put into it!
The engine is shot and needs a rebore and I dread to think what else so I purchased a 1300 for it. Will that increase or decrease its value?
So question is do I strip it for bits, or restore it to its former glory? I don't know how much mk3's are going for ATM.
Cheers, Dave

So stick with the drums on the front or convert to callipers?

If you're going to put a bigger engine in, then upgrading brakes is a good idea in my opinion.
A tax exempt mini is going to be worth good money if restored well, however, making money out of restoring minis and selling them on is extremely hard!

Well worth restoring but doubt much money to be made yet.....don't strip it for parts if possible....clean standard tax exempt Mk3's (pre-rod change Mk4 shells) will be the next big thing!

Like above it's difficult to make money from restoring them, But it's worth restoring. You are going to get the most money by returning it to original.
