I've had a look around on here and seen a few people mentioning "subscribed" on posts. Thought I'd have a look and can't find the options bar to do this? Aparently there is one as it tells you to do this in the 'help' section

Ah.....ok cheers for that. I'd already done that on the post I wanted to follow actually but though there was something else after reading through the topic options bit in the help section:
