No. Not if they are speakers from your HiFi. If they are car speakers, then OK, but Car and HiFi systems work on a different resistance, and are thus incompatible.
I think that HiFi is 4 ohm and Car is 8 ohm, but im not entirely sure.

car is four ohm and hifi is 8 ohm (usually) you can run 8 ohm hifi speakers on a car stereo no problem but you can't use car speakers on a household system as they cannot handle 4 ohm. So yes you could use them, there not ideal but will work just save up and buy some proper ones!

You can wire in home stereo speakers without a problem!!! I wired in My giant 4foot by 2 foot home speakers(12'subs, 5' mids, 2' tweets.) into my swift one afternoon.....just cut the wires off the old car speakers and hooked em' up to my monsters. sounded good.....!!!

Oops! got it the wrong way round.
Anyway. If you can, keep the speakers in the boxes, they are the right capacity for the speakers, and they'll sound ******* if the box is wrong.
As for wiring them up, check the back of your stereo for 4 spare wires in 2 similar pairs of colours, just wire 'em up. its simple. If there's no extra wires, then you'll have to splice the existing speaker wires, just be careful.
Bear in mind that the HiFi speakers may be too powerful for your head-unit amp, and may suck power out of it, causing it to dim/stop working.
