Just wondered how people came about naming their mini's? most people i know have a story behind it.

Mine are mainly taken from films/famous people with mini's as follows..

Mini no1

Bridget, noticed a mini in Bridget jones dairy and the guy kept saying "oh do come the f**k on Bridget" which was what i said everytime i tried to start her.

Mini no2

Caine, (this doesn't need much of an explaination) Named after Michael Caine

Mini no3

Beanie, after Mr Bean.

Mini no4

Cyril, License plate had letters C** RYL (looked like an old boy)

Mini no5

Eddie, after Eddie Izzard who's a massive fan of mini's and one of my fave comedians

Mini no6

Rupert, named after Rupert Grint and Rupert everitt who acted in "Wild Target" which features a mini car chase

and finally mini no7

Scarlett, not just because she's red, but named after Scarlett from 4 weddings and a funeral who drives a red mini and says f**k an awful lot

;D so there you go, looking forward to hearing the stories behind everyones, should be fun (and probably really inapropiate)

'The Toad'

Named because the very first time I ever drove a mini was the trip home after I bought it. It just felt like Mr Toads Wild Ride at Disney, and I pissed myself laughing the entire way home from Kent to Hertfordshire doing what felt like 200mph when in reality was about 52mph. The noise was ridiculous as it was blowing and splurting from a dodgy exhaust from the seller to pass its MOT.

At the moment, he is especially toad-like because he spends most of his time squatting around doing nothing. And when he does move, he has a dodgy gearbox and linkage from worn bushes that pops in and out of gear at spectacularly unexpected moments with an annoying jump and jerk.

Very much like... a toad.

I have never regretted buying him just for his comical value.

Paint code is C O S, number plate ending in TOA.  Given I was being taught SOH-CAH-TOA to do trigonometry at school when I bought it, named it Trig asa joke. It stuck.....
