Hello fellow Mini members,

I have a Mini Cooper S R53 from 2004.

The alloys I'm having are 18x7.5J ET40.

Currently there are 215/35/18 tires wrapped around them but I find them too low especially when driving countryside with the various pot holes!

I am wondering if I can fit 225/40/18 tires without anything rubbing against the arches or other components?

Please can you help?

Many thanks!

As this is mainly a Classic Mini forum you might be better off trying www.totalmini.com or perhaps www.mini2.com as they will have more knowledge of your issue. Some members here have BMW Minis but you're likely to get a quicker response on the other sites.

Good luck

Firstly, have you done any suspension changes at all?

And as above, this is a classic Mini forum. Try asking in some BMW MINI forums.

Thank you MrBounce and HarrysMini for your swift response and recommendations.

I indeed figured out that I registered with a classic Mini forum after I posted my problem. Sorry guys.

To answer HarrysMini's question; no I haven't changed anything on the suspension. It's the standard stock ones.

Cheers!
