What tyres are available for 3.5x10 standard mini wheels for a '65 850?

Currently have Camacs but Falkens seem to be more reaily available.  Also seen some Dunlops but they're pricier than the yokos on my 1380!  Any better options and best place to get them?

How do the camacs and falkens compare on grip, longevity, handling etc?  Which one looks more in keeping with a mk1?

I would stick to the Falkens myself. If the Camacs are anything like the ones I remember they're not a particularly good tyre, have very little grip and are what you might describe as a VERY hard compound. So they'll take AGES to wear out.

+1 for the 145/80 10 inch Falkens.

I'm using these on 4.5 inch rims and grip is surprisingly good in both wet and damp conditions.

In many ways the 145/80 x 10 is a great tyre, especially the Falken variety.

The 145 section width was the early standard radial after the 5.20 x 10 cross-ply was displaced in about 1964.

With 145 tyres a Mini handles at its very best, although the road-holding in the dry may not be quite as good as with a 165 section width.

I drove an MPI last week with 145/70 x 10 and thought how nice it handled and how well it steered. With the sub-frame solidly mounted it did fell like original classic Mini driving with light steering and good response.

My 850, which is currently being restored, will have the 3.5" wide 10" wheels and Falken 145/80 x 10.
