the aerial on my GT is on the rear of the car just above the drivers side rear light cluster, seems a bit weird as ive never seen another one mounted there!
wondered as the surround for it, as the panel is angeled and the aerial is obviously straight up, where i can get another rubber gromet from for it as mine has perished??if i can get a photo ill post one later or tomorrow, its kinda oval as it follows the contours of the bodywork?
anyone ever seen one like it, or got any pics of aerials mounted at the back?

Well aerials were never fitted there as standard, so it's something somebody has mounted themselves. As for the grommet, well you could try Halfords for starters?

Is it any thing like this one?
Only mini I’ve seen it done to, didn't ask if they had fitted there themselves.
Although I’m thinking you would need quite a long lead o go thought the roof to the head unit.

My old P reg clubby had it on the passenger wing. Maybe the rear aerial was a popular aftermarket kit?

I was thinking that as they all seam to be clubmans apart from the black one which is a round nose.

I have my aerial mounted there also. The person I bought it from drilled through the scuttle and mounted some god-awful white thing there! That was the first thing to go, but I couldn't be a*sed to go through the wing, so picked a nice, clear spot at the back. There's no problem with the lead - extension aerial leads only cost a few quid. I used a roof aerial - they are adjustable, and can be easily mounted on a sloped surface. As far as grommets, try Malpin's or other electrical retailers, they should have a variety of sizes.

Aye my Clubby had one there too, when removing it the hole wasn't very well made, it wasn't even round! I think it may have been a dealer fit thing if they had stereo's fitted as an option or something like that.
