Hi thought I had finished restoring my mini from being a shell and boxes and took it out for the first time to get a MOT it got through OK but on the way back came to a halt. When it started it died straight away, no idle. Ask at a mini spares shop and was pointed towards the breather pipe. I haven't got a pipe on my car the point on the carb. is blanked off and the pipe coming out of the "canister" is folded over. Anyone had this or has someone done the wrong thing before I got to the car ?

take the canister off and clean it out, then fit a new hose...
