Looking to sell my Clarke 135te welder, plus few spares.

In very good working condition.

It currently has about 1/4 used 0.6 5kg welding wire fitted, but also I will include 0.8 wire (smaller reel, but new, plus the 0.8 tips and 2 new shrouds and new spare swan neck.

If you want it I also have a flip window mask I'll chuck in as got an auto one now.

Only reason I'm selling is my dad recently bought a new welder and I've been using his old SIP one which does the job as good so might as well get rid of my Clarke.

I also have a pretty much brand new Clarke trolley that I will sell separately.

Price:
£175 for welder.
£215 for welder and trolley.

Collection only. Then you can try it out too

will add pics tomorrow as I'm not with the welder at the mo

Cheers, Jamie

Edit: no gas or regulator included

Sorry, will get pics tomorrow. Not had time to get some in daylight.

It's nice clean condition though.

And collection Bedford, or I don't mind delivering for fuel money, as long as you're not too far away

Rather wait a bit to see if I can sell them together, or if the welder sells first and the buyer doesn't want it. Will let you know either way Mark :)

Price is firm. In no need to sell so won't be budging on price.

Good welders but it's a hell of a price for a second hand one.

For an extra fiver you could walk into Machinemart and buy a 145 brand spanking new with a guarantee/warranty and everything. Out of the box it's a no-gas welder but can be converted to gas so you need to factor in the cost of a reg. since I wouldn't entertain no-gas but this one isn't coming with a regulator so it's money you would have to spend anyway. Might also cost a few quid for gas pipe.

And if you've got a VAT free voucher or know someone who has then you can have a brand new welder for less than this second hand one - and it doesn't matter how little use it's had, it's still second hand and therefore no warranty or anything.

Iain

I would much rather my 135te turbo over a "145" These are £240 brand new VAT FREE (£288 inc vat) without the trolley. This is good value for money.

Go-on - why a 135 rather than a 145? Same make, both fan cooled - I'd bet most of the guts are even the same components. The one and only thing I can see that might make people wary of a 145 for car work is the minimum current of 35 amps rather than 30 for the 135. The minimum current of my 10+ year old 150 is also 30 amps but I've yet to weld anything with the MIG that I use the minimum setting for (anything that thin I'd use the TIG set instead and I can't think of anything that thin on a car) so it wouldn't worry me in the slightest.

Just because it's more expensive doesn't make it better.

It's up to the buyer and there's always a mug out there but like I say for the fiver extra I'd have a new one.

Iain
