The engine is in the new car and all the wiring is nearly sorted. The arches are sooo big, i either need to put some thick rubber on my existing 13X6's or some nice wide 14" rims which will fit my existing 12" hubs.

Anyone know of any 14's that will fit and look cool?

Jesus H Christ, are you gonna need some wide rubber on them!

I considered some 14s before I found some CXRs. You won't find any with the right PCD off the shelf, but you have the option of making up some nice spacer/adapters to get them on. I hate to think of what something "skinny" like a 7" (lol) wil be doing to the bearing when spaced aswell though! I guess you might be into custom territory to get a reasonable balance of width and safety, in which case they can probably make them with the right offset and PCD. Not cheap though......

My mate is a tyre recycler so i can get some chunky boots 195 or even 205 wide, with 70 or 80mm off the rim and space the hell out of them... don't care if i need new bearings every few months... it only got to last the summer and will be back in for modification in the winter. i don't have to pay for tyres that dont fit, just take them back.

Can't afford specialist built 14" wheels just yet.

well, 205s are for 8" wide wheels which will be more like it. Any idea how much those arches stick out from the wing? (bearing in mind a sportspack arch is 3.5", and fits 6" wide wheels at standard.) I would imagine anything with a reasonable negative offset (wheel mounting face outside of the centreline) will allow you plenty of room for making some spacers to fit.

I'm not sure whats available for a 14x8, probably something RWD like BMWs or older Fords, and they *should* have enough offset for playing, and should be available in 14x7 also for the fronts.

I'm certain there are loads with the correct PCD (seen some A series metros with 14s), are you not thinking of offset? ;D

I think turbo phill has 14" wheels on his mini?

I'm pretty sure A-series metros had 13s. it was the K-series that had 14s, but I may be wrong..... Certianly in my search I never found any aftermarket 14s with 4" PCD.

Well the A series metros had metric r315 wheels, 12" and also 13" wheels, but I'm sure I've seen some non standard 14's on one.

pikey many many MANY wheels exist in 14 and 15" with 4" pcds. Take a look at any kit car magazine there will be a bunch of ads for these, but the width is a problem, haven't seen any 14x8 in 4" pcd.

And if you get stuck for wheels you can always redrill your hubs to a different spacing.

Why is everyone determined to prove me wrong!? ;D

look on HERE. A 101mm (or 4") PCD is only on a very limited number of cars, none (apart from the Mini really) are regular Kit car donors, and although the Ginetta is listed, most kit cars are based on Fords which use a 108mm PCD (or 5-stud wheel), VW Beetles (130mm PCD) or later Vauxhall (100mm PCD). And due to the relatively small demand, the aftermarket "market" is also quite limited (I'm not saying there are none out there, but while they are common in 13", the 14"s are quite rare). Even if there are wheels available in "kit car magazines", then I'm willing to bet that they are made by places like Image wheels, who will charge you £300 a corner for a custom fit Halibrand replica.

The only other "major" market for 4" PCD wheels is the caravan market. I doubt however that there is a great demand for any flash alloy over 5" width for them though.

Theres also the golf buggy market (you should see the golf buggy wheels you can get in America!!), but they are mostly 10s and wide...
