I would like to know if the standard mechanical fuel pumps can deliver enough fuel for the weber 45 DCOE. (3.5 max psi).
Thanks.

I haven't seen many webers with a normal fuel pump . An electric fuel pump is worth the money too I heard ( some BHP gain).
However , the need of fuel depends on the car, so a normal fuel pump can be enough if the car doesn't need more fuel
grtz!

Pressure has nothing to do with it, it's delivery volume that matters. The norm for a simple electric pump on a Weber was to use a MGC pump. Or possibly easier to find 2nd hand, the double pump from an XJ6. One side is enough to supply a Weber.

don't want to steel the thread but am also going to be running a 45 dcoe weber on a 1380 with a Kent MD276 cam. would a electric pump be needed or will the mechanical one suffice?
cheers,
bear.
