hi all i have put this project on hold for a few years and in 2014 some time i will be making a start on a engine conversion in my mini city shell. originally i was going to fit a redtop engine in i brought the conversion of a chap on here but it was made to fit under a clubman front end. and i want to keep a roundnose front end. flip front would be the finished idea to access around the engine better. i would like to go vauxhall more then anything but what engine would you go for? i had a redtop in my corsa years ago and i loved it! i am after a standard engine what is fast and is quit easy to fit in. cheers tom

If I was doing such a conversion I'd do vauxhall redtop too.
yeh i do like the redtop but its getting it to fit under the standard roundnose plus it sticks out the bonnet as its to high? got to be a way with some chopping lol

it is a good idea and would be nice but the cost of a vxr engine would be alot and im sure you can get just as much power out of a cheaper older engine with less work?. something cheap and fun for the summer to use.
