hi all i got up this morning and thought i would take the mini for a drive today as it has been stood in my garage for a good 3 months and i have only taken it out and started it up a few times. so i started it up with the choke and let it tick over for abit and sounded good. then as soon as i moved it it was very spluttery and miss firing so i left it on tick over while i washed it down and got all the dust of it. i then jumped in it and pushed the choke in and reved it and popping and spluttering noise coming from it? so i turned it of and took the spark plugs out and they was black. but i thought thats probably the choke thats done that while i let it tick over?? anyway cleaned them up and put them back in and it was still there abit but not as bad well took it for a drive and it was very spluttery and finely got to the petrol garage just to chuck £10 in i thought i might aswell put some super unleaded in give it a try. and after that it run superb and has taken me to himley hall park to walk the dogs and kiddy to a pet store and drove lovely! maybe its just because i am not using it enough?? cheers tom

Maybe it was the old fuel, as it can go off and separate if it's left for a while.
