I just rolled my '74 Mini 1000 into my shop for the first time.  Major disappointment - it's ground clearance is too small to allow use of my hydraulic lift!  You can see my lift stored against the wall next to the car.  Can someone point out the best way to jack up the car to allow rear subframe replacement?

Thx.

Could you not roll the cor on to blocks of wood so you can get the lift under then lift it? I did my subby with the car supported on axle stands under the heel board as high as they could go. I used a plank of wood to spread the load across the back of the car

Like above can you not make some longer ramps for it? I used a peice of wood acroos the rear floor, jacked it up then put axle stands under the wood to surport it.

Thx for the comments.  Yes, I could raise the car to get it on the lift.  Unfortunately, the Mini is so short and narrow that there wouldn't be much of the car hanging clear of the lift unit to justify using it.  I think your method of a plank and jack stands may be best.

By the way, I attempted tonight to remove the six front and rear subframe mounting bolts which are reputed to be so difficult to deal with.  Amazingly, all six came free with little difficutly!  Nice surprise!

I have seen mixed comments regarding using a pattern subframe related to installation difficulties.  I was planning to purchase a pattern subframe from Mini Spares.  Will the pattern part be difficult to install?

It may well be. I used a heritage one and would never advise otherwise. They cost more for a reason!
