I am selling this on behalf of my brother. basically it has covered around 1000 road miles

Spec as follows

Mk3 S/ GT close ratio gearset built into an A+ casing

Centre oil pickup

Straight cut drop gears

Four pin diff

3.6 final drive

The laygear is stamped DAM3168, this verifies that this is the MK 3 S/ 1275 GT close ratio gearset

The gearbox casing numbers are as follows

A/B26 DAM

BC&M 5626

On inspection the gearbox is spot on. All of the teeth are A1, everything is as it should be. It ran perfectly without any problems at all. This gearbox is a must have for any fast road setup. I run a similar box on my tuned MPI and the close ratio gear set really does make a difference to how the car performs

Inspection is welcomed.

Pictures to follow at the weekend

Reason for sale is a change of direction with the mini

Looking for as near to £750 as possible

I have done that before but the link will not copy into the tmf box. There are no problems pasting on other websites?

hi , have had loads of offers for the drops and diff. would still prefer it to go as one, if not I would need a buyer for the box itself prior to selling the drops and diff off. I will keep this thread updated if there is any news, cheers, dan

Don't wish to burst anyone's bubble but this £200 overpriced. That's why people haven't been tripping overthemselves to buy it. Minus a cross pin diff and the drops I've paid £250 this week for the gearset/A+ casing + 3.4FD combination.

Good luck with the sale - Free Bump anyway.

please only comment if you are interested in buying. this is a close ratio gearset, so not the bog standard gears. the parts to convert your 'a' series helical gears to close ratio is nearly £325 from minispares. then add in the drops (£200), four pin (£160 odd), plus add in the cost of the original gearbox price, final drive, and changes to worn parts, ie layshaft, baulk rings, bearing, oil pickup, labour to have this built and you would be looking at a cost well over the asking price of this box. we are happy to hang on until the right buyer comes along, and if it doesn't sell within a few months it will be ebayed with the option of international postage.

dan
