I've come to remove the doors on my MPI and have had to cut the bolt off from the inner front wheel arch as there's some corrosion under there that's just rotted the head.

On modern cars there's usually plastic trim that kind of follows the wheels round to help prevent excess dirt and water getting to the inner wings etc. Just wondered if these are available for minis and if anyone knows the correct name for them? Or is it just a case of spraying the usual stuff in there and keeping on top of it?

Cheers, Chris

Certainly does....minispares sell them as CAML01....bit pricey though!

Ahh sorry! I did do a Minispares search but didn't spot them, I think because the pic looks like std wheel arches.

And ouch! I'll keep an eye out for 2nd hand ones first.

Has anybody used these then? Are they effective?

Thanks guys.

You could probably go to a scrap yard and make a set from a modern car fit

I have heard mixed reports. Some love them and say they work well, others I have seen say they trap the grot and make it worse. My guess is that the effectiveness comes down to how well they are fitted.

Saved in my watch list thanks.

Yeah as I suspected. I have confidence in the guy fitting them so I'll give them a shot if I can get hold of some at a reasonable price and report back in a year or two!

I think the rear bini liners can be trimmed to fit
