I'm after some hose to connect my two breathers together, and then to the carb .I already have one hose off the 1 breather,in silicone blue,so want to match it up to the other then the carb, also in blue silicone.
I purchased the car with it on,so was wondering if i can get away without using non oil specific hose? Just cus it seems cheaper if it will do the job.
Also think i need a T splitter reducer, size i guess 13mm,8mm,13mm.I've looked but cannot seem to find the t splitter, and can anyone advise on the hose and where best to source them.
Thanks in advance,Olly

No you cannot use coolant hose, you need emissions (fuel/oil rated) hose.  Coolant hose will harden up and fail very rapidly.

If you want to use this hose rather than the standard part you will have to use a variety of adaptors to make the sizes fit.  The standard black rubber hoses are flared at the end to fit the breathers.  Try Europa or Holden for adaptor tees, there used to be some modular tees you could get a few years back where you could change the end sizes.  Not sure if they went small enough or even if they are still available.

Found you one.  It's Nylon so it's fuel/oil compatible unlike some plastics these things tend to be made from.  You still need two different sizes of silicone hose though!

The Y piece shown above is the genuine one used for cars with twin breathers and a single carb though.  They used to fit one of the special flared end pipes to one breather so that there was a 5/16" hose to connect to one port on the Y, then a plain bit of ½" hose and a plain bit of 5/16" hose to connect the other two ports to the other breather and the carb respectively.  Bit of a parts bin installation really, typical of BMC / Leyland quality of the time.

The same place should be able to supply the two sizes of silicone hose needed.  You'll have to buy a full meter of each though!  Not sure if it would fit but you could use the rest of the 8mm hose to make a fuel tank breather.
