Hi,

Picked up a good used grill muff the other day for my mk1. I think it's a proper bmc one but does not have a bmc metal tag on it like the muff that was on eBay the other day. I don't think it's lost it's tag as the material does not have any holes for the rivers that hold the tag in place. Needs a little clean on the back but I think groom will do it

I have looked at the usual suppliers along with a google search but was unable to find anyone who sold the muff fixings. Does anyone know of anyone who does. I realise I could attach it in several different ways using different types of fixings but I would like to use the original style fixings.

Thanks Dave

I think you need to find "lift the dot" type convertible hood clips. Any classic car supplier will have them. Unless you mean it didn't come with the funky wing nut things. I think they were unique parts. Have you tried the company that makes the better design steering drop bracket? They make a lot of Mk 1 Special Tuning stuff. I can't remember what they are called though!
