Hi all,

I've recently welcome a new member into my family: a Rover Mini Cooper 1.3 Spi Tahiti Blue, registered in 1999.

It's been loads of fun so far and, even though it needs a lot of work to get it to the level I'd like to, I'm quite happy with the purchase.

So I could keep its originality, could someone please let me know where to find a parts list? I need to replace a few parts (alternator and drive belt) and I am struggling a bit to find the correct parts. All help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Jose

Welcome :-)

Are you sure it's an SPi? Shouldn't a '99 be MPi?

Hi & Welcome to TMF  :-)

As above the Spi ceased production around 95, so you should find that a 99 model is actually an MPi (Multi Point Injection). If you're looking for parts for a 99 Spi, then you might find that 's your problem. I believe that the Mpi had a different alternator to earlier models, with a grooved belt. So check with minispares to be sure, but for a late mpi these might be what you are looking for:

Guys, thank you very much for the warm welcome and good advice. I was completely under the impression it was an SPI. I´m all new to the car and mechanics so I´ll have a look under the bonnet, I haven´t really had much time for that yet.

I´ll also have a look at the links and see if I can find what I´m after.

Cheers.

It looks like the alternator from the link is almost the same as this one: http://www.directaut...or-1998-to-2000

The only difference I see is the output, which is 95 A for this one rather than the 65 A of the GNU2521.

Thanks.

Hello there.

I've been looking for a mini like yours. Sadly not found any like yours. Jealous!

Anyone know where I can find one?
