I've fitted a dummy led in my car that's suposed to flash once the ignitions off I've wired it with a permanent live and an ignition live I've linked the ignition live to an earth on my cigarette lighter and seems to work is this right
Basically it's got the permanent live connected strait to the led
And the switched live comes from ignition to the led then is linked across to the earth on my cigarette lighter I've contacted the supplier and he says
No these need hardly any power at all. When you have the ignition on it sends two lives to the LED so it will not flash. Take the wire off the ignition side and earth it to say the Cigar Lighter and it will flash.
Now find a wire on the ign switch that is live when the ign is on.
