I recently purchased a pair of opening rear quarter windows for my -77 mini saloon. How is the catches mounted, on top of the headlining or under it? Wich screws are to be used?

Through the headlining with very small chromed cheese headed self tapping screws. The position you drill these is essential for proper operation of the window so check several times before drilling. The joggle in the hinge base is designed to wrap around the edge of the seal.

See link below, item 14. The bracket goes over the headlining,

By accident I broke one of the small "hinges" off when fitting the window...
Are these available from somewhere?

Great. I'm happy I didn't drill any holes in the C and B posts yet. The old windows stays.

Here's a small update on the broken hinge. It turned out that Somerford actually have this part as a spare part if you ask them. I got it in the mail today. Next step is to mount it in the frame. There still is hope!
