I've just bought a shell thats had some welding done by the previous owner and I'm trying to get everywhere sealed and protected with the weather being cold and damp. I've got the front and the wheel arches in stone chip at the moment, am I okay to leave them like this until it gets sprayed or will I have to cover them in topcoat to stop rust?

Stone Chip is waterproof, so as long as you have covered the surface completely it should be fine.

It works a lot better than underseal, that's for sure.

Are you going to use 'upol raptor'? It's a truck bed liner but can be used underbody. It's great stuff, goes on really nice and you can mix the body color in with it to tint it. Protects against, rust, corrosion etc. Google it.

Thats interesting a friend of mine was once an agent for speedliner which was a brilliant product  the only problem being is that you have  to be registered with them to get the stuff,   this  looks to be the same stuff but easier to get hold of . i shall definitely be using it.
