I believe that my '74 998 cc engine should be equipped with a 25D distributor.  Can someone tell me what markings on the distributor would confirm same?

The distributor is marked "41532 A".  What configuration does that indicate.

That would be a 25DA I think.

Additional info on 41532, this is 25D4 fitted to 998 Minis for the Canada market 73-74.

 

Looks like this should be the right one for your Mini, the numbers I gave earlier were for UK spec.

The rotor and points appear to be the same as the 25D4 items in the Minispares catalog, thus confirming Carbon's information.
