I woke up this morning to find my 1979 Austin Mini Special no longer outside my house (West London). I'm incredibly upset that it has been stolen, and hoping to try and do everything to track it down. If any one has any suggestions to help how I go about doing this please let me know. I will be searching ebay and gumtree!

It is a really lovely dark green colour, which is not a usual mini colour, (the garage had to specially mix the paint when I had the boot lid replaced) with a white roof. It has a grey mini special 25 interior (even though it is a mini special 20).

Hey, hope you get your mini back. Can you post a pic of the interior please just incase someone try's to sell it. Might be able to identify it that way as I'm always looking for 25 stuff for my mini 25.

Gutted for you mate!! :/

Hi thanks,

distinctive features are -

the green of the paint work is pretty unique (I think it may be the classic jaguar racing green) - its not a normal mini green.

Inside the boot is painted yellow, and the handbrake and gear stick are painted red.

The seats are grey with red trim and have the special 25 logo on them - unfortunately i havent got a picture of them.

The dash is a mock carbon kevlar peice of MDF which is falling off at one end, the glove compartment has a hole in it, so if you try to put anything in it it falls out the bottom... the speedometer doesnt work. (Its a bit shabby inside!)

It sounds awful when I describe it.. but i loved it!

For a Mini Special that's normal...
