hi all.

i have a 69 elf that is currently running on rubber coupling driveshafts and standard drums. i want to convert to disks but fitting some disk hubs and getting the 7.5 kit from minispares/minisport.

question is, can i use the disk drive shafts, knock the pot joint off the end and fit the rubber coupling joint on it?

are pot joint and coupling driveshafts the same length?

OR

can i ditch the rubber couplings and fit the pot joints to the early gearbox?

do pots a dn couplings have the same mounting and oil seal to the diff?

cheers in advance

simon

So a bit of research and it seems I need to change the diff output shafts to fit pot joints to the gearbox. Not a problem but more parts to find.

So the question remains. Can I swap the pot joint end of the disk driveshaft for the tuner coupling end?

Yoke driveshafts are incompatible with pot joints.

Just use the driveshafts you already have and change the CV joints - it's what I did on my Elf.
