My rear suspension has these plastic cup thingies on the springs on the opposite side of the cones:

but the front doesn't have them....  Is the front meant to have them? It was perfectly OK without, if it is meant to have them where can I get them?

Cheers,

Tim

i think ive got them on my rears, not sure now uve said that.

I presume the coil spring is smaller dia than the cone, so the plastic is to help locate it?

Well that would be good if it's the case, I'm not sure where the springs came from as the mini had them already fitted. I wonder what their function is then?

Probs a isolation / location part. Most modern coil sprung cars have a plastic / rubber isolater at the top of the strut.
Its probably also to locate the spring on the subframe

Looks like I've found out what the springs are on my car :-)  Minitastic I reckon, the springs were described as "Fast Road" on the car's advert.

Cheers for that heads-up Rob Mac  :highfive:  Now to see if they'll sell me a couple of them as mine are a bit mangled from being badly-fitted previously.
