Today the mini wouldn't start without a bump so after I did that I tried to run the engine and it just seemed to cut out after a few minutes. I've currently got the battery on charge and searching the net for answers, any ideas would be much appreciated.

when it was running was the red ignition light lit? Was there any noises when it was running, how did it cut out, suddenly or spluttering?

No red light, it sounds normal. It just cuts out like it has lost power does it suddenly
