Just wrote an essay here went to photo bucket to get the IMG code on my phone and the page refreshed so I shall start again:( this time brief
My window only wound down 2 inches , took it apart, runner was not in channel, put back in it now worked but stiffly, so put all back together checked loads more still worked , changed status to say it worked, went back to garage, then the runner came of the window:(
Questions
Window can support it self in the window and is hard to move up and down, is this what made
The runner come of the window? And the mechanism arm looks bent compared to pic on mini spares do you think it was caused by the difficulty of moving the window up and down?
Right side looks bent?

Also the last two teeth on the right side have been bent up stopping it rotating any more, but I can't see that feature on the pic on mini spares

i had similar problem with the teeth being bent and becoming unusable on mine, I ended up getting a new mech which fixed it as I couldnt get the gearing back to how it should be and the gears kept slipping.

Last 2 teeth are like that to stop the mechanism overwinding and coming off altogether surely? i had sim problem - part of the channel holding the runner had broken off and it kept dropping the window down at one side. Eventually replaced winder and runner - all sorted
