Surfblue garage has recently moved into new premises and is expanding along with our workload so another job space has come up in the garage/bodyshop.

The vacancy is for an all round person who can work alone and with others in restoring and repairing minis/classic cars to a very high standard. This vacancy is ideally suited for a semi skilled to skilled worker to work 8-5 mon-fri.

All training will be provided on the jobs that will be undertaken and jobs will include :

Tea and coffee maker, customer sales and invoicing, general dogs body, mechanical repairs, refurbisher (shotblast, painter, remanufacturer), engine and gearbox builds, collecting and recovering vehicles on beavertale, fabricating (mig tig and spotwelder), welder including panelwork on minis (the bulk of our work), body prep and painter (full and part paintjobs undertaken) to name afew of the jobs we do. This is what all of us do here including me and I own the place.lol. (not so good at making coffee.....)

We are looking to take on an honest, trustworthy, enthusiastic mini owner to join the family. This job is not for anyone and I will be very selective in screening as its not just a job here you are trusting in being part of a mini community. I hate to say it but kwik fit fitters need not apply as we can take decades on minis.

Applicants can send cv's and information about themselves to [email protected] or message us on facebook Search Surf Blue Garage or link below.

https://www.facebook...255259637851225

All successful applicants will be invited to the garage on an informal meeting to meet the team and have a look around to see if the job is for you. Salary and conditions will be based on the individual but is no means a Minimum wage job as there is a lot of skill needed to work here.

I hope that we find someone that fits the bill and am sorry if I seen very selective but I don't just need a "mechanic" as such.

Thanks very much for reading and I hope to hear from you soon.

Heres to the next Surf Blue family member.

Regards

David Austin Price (no that is my real name) aka Mini Mad Daps.

i think I will do it worth a shot worse case its only cost 10mins of my time sending a email
I was only asking as most garages tend to go for older guys as most people seem to think teenagers go out steal, take drugs and assume we are a waste of time I suppose everybody is entitled to what they want to do but some of us actually are ok and born in the wrong generation so would like a chance

Hi there,

Yes kezz by all means send me your cv. Its not about age its about talent as i'm only 25 myself. Age is irrelevant but a passion for minis and classic cars is very very important. As is the willingness to learn and be taught as we have had younger people here in the past which are no longer here as they "think they know everything"

So feel free to send it in as you never know.
