Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain the parts for the sunroof, such as the seal? I have had a quick search online and have not been able to find any.

My car has a small leak from around the hinges on the front of the sunroof any idea on how to fix?

I've also heard the the sunroof seal is the same as what is used on the early Land Rover Discovery, does anyone know if that is right?

Was going to suggest Somerford Mini's, that's where I got mine from. They have sold out though.

Thanks guys, any idea what would cause a leak through the hinges? Seems to leak through the hinges rather than around them, if you know what I mean :goaway:

Have you joined the RSP Register? We have a forum where you may get more specific help?

The fact that it's from a Landrover Discovery causes the leaks - famous for leaking sunroofs, been there done that, removed the whole headlining twice to reseal the cursed sunroofs  >_<

My RSP is not allowed out in the rain. That's why it's called a sunroof.

Registration is compulsory for RSPs.

If it's leaking around the hinges then it could be the seal, but the hinges themselves also fatigue and weaken over the years meaning that the sunroof leaks around them because they don't pull the glass down against the seal properly anymore. I'm not aware that you can buy replacement hinges though, so you'll probably need a complete replacement sunroof assembly. You could always try removing the hinges and gently bending them up a little instead, but be warned that if they are weak/fatigued, they may well snap if you do.

If you're looking for spares, then most of the pop up sunroofs fitted to 90's minis were made by Tudor-Webasto, so you could try one of their agents for spare parts.

I am looking for the inner seal, well its not a seal as such, more a trim. I have a grey rubber one right now but against new black headlining it looks odd. Do you know if there are material / flocked trim for these?
