Hiya

Im am currently looking at buying some second hand mx5 seats for my mini and they say in the description they are good for classic cars. Plus that they are narrow. Although no dimensions are given.

So can anyone give me some advice on what I should do.

Cheers

I've seen them fitted to a good few mini's and they fit well.

You will need to make some subframes to covert them to fit the mini.

A1 in Bearwood Rd had a good few mx5's in last time I went down, why don't you pop down and take a look ....might even be worth asking for a price, sometimes they are cheaper than the auction sites .... but it is A1, so don't expect that ;D

Great thankyou! Well I have found a pair for £120 so I cant image I could get them any cheaper. But I might go have a look though. Cheers. Much appreciated!

I'd personally say £120 was way too high, maybe worth it if they have been convert to fit a mini already ... nobody seems to want seats, I got a full BMW E92 cloth interior with semi electric seats for £50. (That's fronts, backs, door cards, center console)

Also look at S2000's ...I've seen them sell for well under your price, although they were in red leather.

BMW Z3's and BMW MINI are also fitted, take a trip down the yard and look at everything that's 2 door ...then do your research on eBay.

Pop down and take a look, then ask them - you might be surprised especially if it's a slow day, just because they have a massive yard with cars stacked sky high not all the prices are sky high.  Explain to them what you want to fit them too ...the people who own the business are really into their cars.

The seats in brothers S2000 are black leather, theres a chance you can find these on sale searching through forums, ebay is useless with those jap car parts.
