A years work spending evening and weekends in a cold workshop to get it up to scratch.  Off the top of my head, the following work was done:

Body

New wings, scuttle, a panels, both door frames, hinge panels, new section of the roof above off side door, new boot, bonnet, 2x second hand doors, rear hinge panel, new front panel, boot and bulk head patched up.  All new panels where sealed with special body silicone on all joins to prevent water ingress before painted ( to prevent your normal rust spots on the wings etc which took me an age to do) Wood and picket arches, genuine Mini convertible wheels, gas shocks, all round hi lo, all bright work is stainless steel.  The only part ok was the floor!! I must be bad...

Engine

Engine was a strong 998cc and in good running order.  De-coked head, re-lapped valves.  Replaced cam for an sw5. Somerford works rally exhaust, maniflow inlet and lcb outlet, timken wheel bearings.   Plan on getting a keith calver stage 3 head this year.

Lovely, so nice to see another on the road! With the original black grille, have you got the 'red hot' badge which was on it?

How does this badge attach to the grille? It is sticky or hooked?

Hi I'm the process of getting my red hot back on the road....love the arches! Just in a dilemma of painting red like yours or gloss black?? Did you cut the wings to clear the wheels??

Is the colour the original colour or the newer flame red?

Hi Guys,
I also have a Red Hot which was converted by Janspeed to Fast Road Spec immediately on leaving the factory. It's only covered 9k so still looks great. it's great to see you guys restoring yours to their former glory. I don't suppose one of you has a decent red hot drivers seat spare do you? It's the only thing mine is missing as the other seats are as new but the drivers was swapped by Janspeed for a Cobra recliner.

Cheers
Andy
