I have that exact model of cmax and it's a lovely car to drive. Goodies which make it an easy car to own are; heated front screen, cruise control, automated parking feature, parking sensors, fantastic mpg and the ride is quite high which makes it easy to get in and out of.
Can't comment on the other two though.
Edit - the rear seats fold up to create a massive boot space as well

Ford, its practice, safe, reliable, okay ish to drive for a modern box and just can handle whatever you need it to so far as day to day life would mean.
I know you mentions a Citroën C4, I don't suppose you have the chance of the DS4, that was amazing, like a plastic jag inside, genuinely blown away by its interior, so if you can pick others in the price bracket, well worth a look.

We had a c max many years ago and it was fantastic at the time, that was a 2008 model car. Did have it's problems, blew bell housings to bits, killed clutches, smashed gearboxes up, but once that was sorted it was fine.
I know mobility offer the paceman AWD 2.0 D.
My work vehicle is a 2012 Renault master truck (ok completely different to the French vehicle you're looking at) but that has gone through nearly 4 clutch master cylinders in just over a year and Renault won't recognise it as a fault in the cylinder, their customer service was extremely poor and I have never had a pleasant experience with anything French, pug, Citroen, Renault, I just steer clear now
