Clutch Arms

On a mini are all the clutch arm assemblies interchangeable because i have an engine just wondering if i get a different clutch arm set up will it be an easy swap.

For example can i just swap the left arm over with the one on the right or will i have to swap the full cover over

The left hand (short arm) is for the Verto clutch fitted from c1982, the RH one is an earlier one. Each one has to be fitted with the appropriate, corresponding internal clutch and flywheel assembly.

I agree, and would add that even if you are not changing the clutch internals (plate and diaphragm spring), the cover (wok), operating plunger and release bearing differ between Verto and pre-Verto clutches, and the cover also differs according to whether you have an inertia or pre-engaged starter, and whether you need the timing hole, or have the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley at the other end instead. Obviously if you don't need the timing hole, you can still use a cover which has it, as long as you fit the cover plate. See here:
